Recall that Nigerian elder statesman, Olusegun Obasanjo had in celebration of professor Charles Soludo’s first year in office as Anambra State governor, spoken about the electoral violences that were witnessed in Lagos State during the presidential and gubernatorial elections in Lagos State, as he condemned the consistent aversion to the Igbos, which he described as “igbophobia”.
However, Omoyele Sowore while speaking in an interview with Mic On, reacted to Olusegun Obasanjo’s statement, as he stated that he is surprised that Obasanjo could make such statement because he was one of the many military officers that allegedly worked against the Igbos during the Nigerian Civil war.
Speaking about the country, Omoyele Sowore noted that Nigerians can have hope for their country if they are ready to fight it.
