Kuti also criticized Nigerian banks, particularly Guaranty Trust Bank (GTB), for their alleged involvement in the arrest, expressing his distrust in the banking system. He mentioned that VDM’s lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, is also his lawyer, and they are both entangled in a case with GTB and other banks.

The arrest of VeryDarkMan by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in Abuja has sparked outrage online, with many demanding his release. Details of the arrest remain unclear, but the involvement of GTB has been a point of contention.

Seun Kuti’s comments have added fuel to the ongoing debate about freedom of speech and the influence of religious institutions in Nigeria. He emphasized that the people of God are the ones fighting VDM for speaking the truth.

As the situation unfolds, many are watching closely to see how the authorities will respond to the public outcry and whether VDM will be released.CONTINUE READING
