The senator who made the disclosure at Kangiwa Square in Katsina metropolis has quashed the rumours that the Northern Parliamentarians pocketed the money meant for buying the palliatives.

Yar’adua explained that the escalation in prices of commodities forced the Federal Government to plan for the release of about 700 tonnes of assorted grains from its silos for distribution across the country in an attempt to cushion the current hardship being faced by the common people.

Senator Yar’adua therefore called on people to be patient and continue praying for succour, as, according to him, the federal government and Senate are currently making efforts towards evolving ways of curbing the hardships.
