See List Of APC Chieftains Who Bagged Chieftaincy Titles In Gbaramatu Kingdom
Some chieftains of the All Progressives Congress (APC), on Friday, bagged chieftaincy titles in the Gbaramatu Kingdom in Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State.
The APC stalwarts were honoured by the Pere of Gbaramatu Kingdom, His Royal Majesty Aketekpe Agadagba, Oboro- Gbaraun II, at his palace in Gbaramatu.
The APC Presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, was conferred with the title of Iyelawei (a very important person) of Gbaramatu Kingdom.
The Deputy Senate President, Ovie Omo-Agege, was also conferred with the title of Ibe-Ikiowei (one who knows the road) of Gbaramatu Kingdom.
The Chief Spokesman of the APC Presidential Campaign Council and the Minister of State, Labour and Productivity, Festus Keyamo, bagged the title of Igoniniwei (the man that knows the way) of Gbaramatu Kingdom.
The title of Itaremobowei (one who comes with love) of Gbaramatu Kingdom was conferred on the Governor of Yobe State, Mai Malla Buni.
While the former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Dimeji Bankole, bagged the title of Kuromobowei (the man that comes with force) of Gbaramatu Kingdom.
In his remarks, the monarch urged the Federal Government to come to the aid of the people of Gbaramatu, saying that the road leading to the Kingdom is very bad and inaccessible.
He said if the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos State could be constructed to link all communities, a bridge should also be constructed in Gbaramatu Kingdom to link its adjoining communities.
Also speaking, Tinubu thanked the Gbaramatu monarch for the honour bestowed on him and some APC members.
The APC candidate, therefore, promised that he will always render services for the progress and development of the kingdom
“It’s a great honour to stand before you today to receive a title and come as a member of this community,” he said.
He asserted that the issues of roads, seaports, bridges, and the full implementation of the Maritime University and industrial park will be fully addressed if he becomes the next president of the country.
Tinubu said his administration will not be far away from the people as he will consult with them for the development of the Kingdom and other associated communities.
He added that he will provide employment for the teeming youths with the support of God Almighty.
