Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, the General Overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has shed light on the secret behind his health and vitality, as well as his continuous breakthroughs in ministry. Speaking at the monthly Thanksgiving service of the church in Lagos, Pastor Adeboye attributed his sound health and vigor to his unwavering connection to God through fasting, prayer, obedience to God’s instructions, and a lifestyle of holiness.
The 82-year-old preacher emphasized the importance of staying connected to God, likening it to being plugged into a power source. He recounted an incident where he outpaced younger individuals during a walk, attributing his stamina to his spiritual connection. Pastor Adeboye stressed that those who wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength in all aspects of life, not just physically.
He shared the story of Samson, illustrating the consequences of disconnecting from God’s power. Pastor Adeboye also referenced scientific research suggesting that fasting can rejuvenate one’s age, citing an experiment with mice where fasting led to longevity and vitality.
