As Nigerians continue to show keen interest in proceedings at the ongoing Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal, reactions have begun trailing a social media post made by All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, Bayo Onanuga in which he highlighted the testimony delivered by a high-ranking staff of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in court.

In a tweet posted on his verified Twitter handle on Monday night, Onanuga revealed that a Deputy ICT Director at INEC told the court that the February 25 presidential elections were not only free, fair, and credible, but it was also conducted in compliance to the 2022 Electoral Act.

Going further, the APC chieftain revealed that the witness insisted that the technical glitch which occured during the polls did not in anyway affect the manual collation of results compiled by INEC officials and the actual scores garnered by each candidate at the Polling Units.

As expected, Onanuga’s tweet has has generated a flurry of mixed reactions from a cross-section of Nigerians online, with many trooping to the comments section to share their thoughts.

While some persons concurred with the assertions contained in the APC chieftain’s tweet, others, however, criticized the claim supposedly made by the witness. A few others insisted that the electoral umpire ought to explain to Nigerians what caused the so-called technical glitch that effected electronic transmission of results from polling units to its server on election day.
