President Tinubu Pledges To Increase Minimum Wage In 2024
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu addressed Nigerians on new year’s day. The president promised to do certain things for the development of the country in 2024. It is important to point out that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu pledged to increase the national minimum wage in the year 2024.
As reported by Premium Times indicates that Tinubu spoke about the increment of the national minimum wage in 2024. He said “the economic aspirations and the material well-being of the poor, the most vulnerable and the working people shall not be neglected. It is in this spirit that we are going to implement a new national living wage for our industrious workers this new year. It is important to point out that the current national minimum of 30,000 Naira was implemented by the federal government in 2019.
