Majeed Dahiru, paper columnist, said that the young lady, Ejikeme Mmesoma, said it doesn’t matter who the judgement of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal favours but Nigerians would want to see sense behind the judgement.

Majeed made the statement in an interview with AIT during the Kakaaki program when he was asked to react to what is happening at the election tribunal, where the court admitted EU report was admitted.

Majeed Dahiru said that, it is always very safe to allow Judiciary do their job, because what we see as just observers may not what it is in the law court, and therefore, sometimes, it is safe to just say, let just put the justices or the judges of appeal court on the spot, by saying

“Look, do justice and let it be seen to have been done in this case. Do all that you can with good conscience and sincerity.”

He said he also think that there is morality aspect to the rule of law, because sometimes when a case as important as dispute from electoral matters, contest,

“I think the justices will have to go beyond technicalities, to look at the truth behind the fact of the matter before them because they are also Nigerians. They were in this country, they witness the election ” he then said,

“It doesn’t matter who the judgement favours but Nigerians will love to see the bases, logic behind the adjudication”
