Onanuga Dismisses Gbajabiamila’s Appointment as Tinubu’s CoS as Mere Speculation
According to Mr. Bayo Onanuga, the Director of Media and Publicity for the Bola Tinubu Presidential Campaign Council, the rumours surrounding the appointment of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, as the chief of staff of the president-elect, remain as mere speculation until Tinubu confirms it himself after his return from France.
Onanuga stated that he was unaware of such an appointment and that it has been trending for some time. However, Gbajabiamila has denied lobbying for the position and stated that he had no idea about the reports. A source in the president-elect’s camp reiterated that the Speaker has always been a trusted ally of Tinubu and that his recent trip to France with the president-elect has fueled the speculation.
