Ogun State Gov’t destroys Gbenga Daniel’s wife’s complex

The Ogun State Government initiated the demolition of a structure owned by Mrs. Olufunke Daniel, the spouse of former Governor Gbenga Daniel.

According to the Daily Post, this five-story edifice, known as Datkem Plaza, occupies Folagbade Street in Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State. The demolition commenced during the early hours of Sunday, overseen by government officials and security personnel. It came to light that the Ogun State Government had issued a demolition notice approximately three days ago.

In a statement issued by Engr. Olusegun Lawal, the contractor, it was revealed that the government cited insufficient parking space, inadequate muster points, and limited airspace as the reasons for this action.

The former governor, presently serving as the Senator for Ogun East, visited the site for a firsthand evaluation. When reached for comment, Lekan Adeniran, the Chief Press Secretary to Governor Dapo Abiodun, disclosed that the state government would soon release an official statement regarding the incident.
