On Saturday, September 9, 2023, Obi sent out a tweet on his verified Twitter account encouraging his fans not to give up in the face of the tribunal’s decision and emphasising that giving up is not an option on the road to a new Nigeria.

Obi added in his statement that nothing good comes easily in life and that lasting change requires tenacity, selflessness, and fortitude.

DESPAIR IS NOT AN OPTION: MESSAGE TO ALL OBIDIENTS AND MY SUPPORTERS, HE SAID, Adding that the electoral tribunal’s displeasure had motivated him to recommit himself to the cause of a new Nigeria.

“My dear Obidient family and supporters, I trust that you have all heard, or read, my response to the judgement delivered by the Presidential Election Petition Court (PEPC) on Wednesday, September 6, 2023,” part of the message said.
