All Progressives Congress (APC) governors under the platform of Progressive Governors Forum (PGF) has promised to wade into the misunderstanding between the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) and the leadership of the National Assembly over the appointment of principal officers.

The Sun report that, Forum Chairman and governor of Imo state, Hope Uzodinma, made the promise while dismissing the misunderstanding that National Chairman, Abdullahi Adamu, has declared war on the Godswill Akpabio and Tajudeen Abbas-led NASS leadership.

The governor of Imo stated that the governors would use all available internal dispute resolution procedures to bring peace back to the party during a side conversation following the NWC and PGF meeting on Tuesday in Abuja.

The Sun report that, “The Chairman never indicated they are by themselves. The leadership of the National Assembly is a member of our great party, they are members of our party, and they have our backing.

“We will make up for any communication gaps if there are any, and we have a system in place to deal with them internally. PGF and our party both support the leadership of the National Assembly. We don’t have any issues at all, the governor assured.

“We took pride in the style and method in which the National Assembly’s leadership was exercised. We are highly confidence in the performance of the Speaker and his deputy, the Senate President, and the Deputy Senate President.

“During the call, the Chairman did state that they are trying to get an audited account that will be provided to the National Caucus in accordance with the Electoral Act. It was only mentioned; it wasn’t actually presented, he claimed.

The Imo governor informed the party’s leadership earlier in his opening remarks that they would be ready to defend the federal government’s policies.

“We must congratulate our great party’s leadership and our new brand President, who have made a strong start. And he has received praise for his gutsy and bold decisions from people all across the world. Meetings like this are actually intended to serve as a brainstorming session for us to propose ideas for both party and national building.

“The party has an obligation to support the policies and initiatives of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration by working with progressive governors and speaking for all progressive minds in the nation.
