NLC Strike: National Assembly shut down, gates under lock

According to a report by the Daily Post on Tuesday, November 14, 2023, the entrance to the National Assembly Complex in Abuja has been closed by parliamentary workers who have joined the ongoing protests led by labor unions.

It will interest you to note that this move follows the unions’ issuance of a nationwide strike notice last week in response to an assault on Joe Ajaero, the President of the Nigeria Labour Congress, on November 1, 2023, in Imo State.

It was also gathered that as of 12:23 pm on Tuesday, all gates to the National Assembly complex were securely locked, leaving many workers stranded at the entrance.
