Lawmaker representing Edo North Senatorial District, Sen. Adams Oshiomhole, expressed his gratitude to the people of Edo North for electing him during the National Assembly election held on February 25. Speaking at a post-inauguration and thank-you party held in his honor, Sen. Oshiomhole stated that his opponent would have harassed him out of Edo North if he had lost the election.
According to Sen. Oshiomhole, the people of Edo North wanted him to replicate the development he brought to the state during his tenure as governor, which is why they elected him. He assured the district and the state that they would benefit from the dividends of democracy under the leadership of President Bola Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Sen. Oshiomhole expressed his gratitude to the Afemai people for their support, highlighting that if they had voted against him, the jubilation by his opponent would have been such that they would have harassed him out of the district. He acknowledged the fact that many sitting governors across the country who contested for the senate lost, but he, despite leaving office seven years ago, was still honored with victory by his people.
