In a recent interview with a correspondent from Leadership paper, Hon. Alphonsus Komsol, the former member of the House of Representatives representing the Shendam/Quaan-Pan/Mikang Constituency, discussed the brewing crises within the Plateau State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC). Komsol claimed to be one of the trusted allies of President Bola Tinubu, and he elaborated on the reasons behind this assertion.
He said, “However, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who was the Governor of the state on the platform of an opposition party, the Alliance for Democracy, came to our rescue and he even gave us the title documents of properties for Lalong to be released, after he had spent about 40 days in the EFCC custody.”
Komsol shared that his association with President Tinubu dates back almost two decades to when Tinubu served as the Governor of Lagos State. He vividly recalled an incident that left a profound impression on him, involving the arrest and detention of Rt. Hon. Simon Lalong, the former Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly and the immediate past Governor of the state, by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
