The most valuable player that has not played for any country is Jacob Ramsey. This central midfielder is currently valued at €42m. However, this Aston Villa star has not made the cut for the recent Three Lions’ squad that are meant to play in the September international break. Michael Olise who plays for Crystal Palace as well as the Newcastle duo of Anthony Gordon and Joe Willock are also in this category. These men are presently valued at €38m each. A look at their nationalities shows that Olise has the widest range of citizenship options. Though he represented France (his mother’s home country) at U-21 level, he is still eligible to play for England (where he was born) and Nigeria (his father’s home country). However, none of them have called him up. As for Willock and Gordon, the duo stand little chance. The Three Lions currently have better midfielders and wingers respectively.
The next three men on this list are worth €35m each. These are Harvey Elliot of England as well as the French duo of Amine Gouiri and Elye Wahi. Elliot currently plays for Liverpool while Gouiri and Wahi ply their trades at Lens and Rennes respectively.
