The Lagos State government has discovered another unauthorized settlement beneath the Osborne Bridge in the upscale Ikoyi neighborhood. Environment and Water Resources Commissioner Tokunbo Wahab revealed the discovery in a social media post accompanied by videos.

“Another illegal settlement has been uncovered under the Osborne Bridge, Ikoyi,” Wahab wrote. “The Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps (KAI) has begun an immediate operation to clear the area.”…….Continue Reading

This revelation follows a previous discovery by the state government on May 1st, when 86 partitioned rooms were found beneath the Dolphin Estate Bridge on Lagos Island. The occupants were reportedly paying an annual rent of N250,000.
