Lineker made this declaration while explaining why he rates the Paris Saint-Germain forward higher than his long-time adversary Cristiano Ronaldo.
In an interview with Men’s Health magazine, Lineker stated that Messi and Maradona are the two greatest footballers in history, and he believes there is a strong argument to be made that Messi is the best sportsman ever.
He added that while Ali is a strong contender, there are far more footballers than heavyweight boxers.
