Out of the 39,834 withheld results, 1,426 are currently under scrutiny and processing. Notably, 96 candidates’ results were withheld due to confirmed exam malpractices, a decrease from 123 in the previous year. Additionally, 2,157 candidates experienced fingerprint rejections, indicating potential registration infractions. These issues suggest systemic vulnerabilities in the registration and examination processes.

JAMB has intensified its efforts to combat examination fraud, with 80 individuals currently under investigation across the country. Anambra State recorded the highest number of suspects, with 14 individuals under interrogation. Furthermore, 244 candidates were found to have engaged in “WhatsApp runs,” subscribing to unauthorized groups promising leaked questions. Their results have also been withheld to set a stern example.

The board remains committed to eliminating any form of examination malpractice and ensuring the integrity of the UTME process
