Following the declaration of the former governor of Lagos state, Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the president of Nigeria by the independent national electoral commission after emerging with the highest number of votes cast at the 2023 presidential polls, the leader of the afenifere, Pa Ayo Adebanjo has revealed that it was through that God made Bola Ahmed Tinubu the governor of Lagos state and he knows his ability, but the issue at hand is not about his ability and he wouldn’t want to comment on that.
According to Ayo Adebanjo, he would not recognise Tinubu for an office that does not exist yet and until the presidential election petition tribunal decides on the cases that have been tabled before it, the office of the president of Nigeria is still not existing.
Pa Ayo Adebanjo made the remarks during an interview when he was asked to comment on Tinubu’s one month in office. In his words “it was through me that God made him the governor of Lagos and I know his ability”.
