The news of the presidential election petition tribunal resuming the hearing of Mr Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar’s petition against Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s declaration as the winner of the February 25th election is not surprising.
After presenting their cases for several weeks, the Independent National Electoral College (INEC) failed to produce any witnesses today. INEC claimed that their witness disappointed them, which was expected as today was supposed to be the day they would present their case at the Presidential Election Petition Court.
This update was shared by Kenneth Okonkwo, a legal counsel to Mr Peter and former Spokesperson of the Labour Party presidential campaign council, through his Twitter account.
In his words, “Today was scheduled for INEC to present their case at the Presidential Election Petition Court. As expected, they did not present any witness, citing their witness’s failure to appear.”
Dear readers, what do you think of Kenneth words?
