A Chieftain of the people’s democratic party and spokeperson of the PDP’s presidential campaign council, Daniel Bwala has stated that if all the money you use for an election comes from your pocket, then you are not popular.

Daniel Bwala made this remark when he was commenting on how the presidential candidate of the labour party, Peter Obi has to do crow funding because of the credibility he has. According to Daniel Bwala, it is not a crime to do crowd funding but it must be that you have the credibility.

Speaking further during the interview, Daniel Bwala noted that the people’s democratic party sponsored the presidential election of its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.

You will recall that the presidential candidate of the labour party, Peter Obi was criticized during the campaign period for going to the diaspora to raise funds for the election.

In his words, Daniel Bwala stated “if every Kobo you use to run for an election comes from your pocket, you are not popular”.
