In a recent development,a prominent member of the 10th National Assembly, Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, has promised to provide a new legislative avenue to address the prolonged detention of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu. Ubah expressed confidence that Kanu will soon be released from detention, assuring the public that lawmakers are working tirelessly to facilitate his release.

 

Speaking passionately on the occasion, Senator Ubah emphasized the commitment of the 10th National Assembly to ensure justice and fairness for all citizens. He disclosed that he himself took the initiative to explore new legislative options that could facilitate Kanu’s release, showing the parliament’s firm will to quickly deal with the situation.

Ubah said, “I am sure he will be out of prison very soon. We in the 10th National Assembly will give Kanu’s case another legislative opportunity to facilitate his freedom, and I have even personally initiated a step in that direction.”
