The Senator representing Anambra South Senatorial District, Dr. Ifeanyi Ubah, has made a firm commitment to put an immediate end to the Monday sit-at-home practice in his constituency.
Ubah expressed deep concern over the detrimental impact this exercise has had on the commercial, economic, and overall well-being of the South-East residents. Recognizing the severe devastation caused, he is determined to address this issue with utmost determination and vigor.
According to him, I have acquired security gadgets from Nnewi evil forests and I am giving them to vigilante operatives to combat Sit-At-Home troublemaker. The senator made this statement at the Ifeanyi Ubah International Stadium, Nnewi, when he addressed the state vigilante operatives
In his own words, Ifeanyi Ubah said “Monday is typically a significant day for business and economic activities, but unfortunately, the ongoing sit-at-home situation has severely impacted businesses, commerce, and the overall economy in our region. This undesirable circumstance has resulted in unemployment among our youth, and it is imperative that we take action to address this issue. We cannot allow this situation to persist any longer.
“In response, I have acquired a range of security gadgets and equipment, including CCTV cameras, patrol vans, motorcycles, walkie-talkies, and traditional wooden staffs obtained from the Nnewi evil forests. I am now handing over these resources to our vigilant operatives to assist them in effectively dealing with any potential security breaches that may arise. It is crucial that we unite in our determination to put an end to this destructive practice known as the sit-at-home”
