Honourable Goffrey Gaiya, the newly appointed special adviser on political affairs to the speaker of the House of Representatives, has made a statement regarding the future election of a Christian governor in Kaduna State. According to a report by The Sun, he expressed his belief that within the next ten years, a Christian candidate will be elected as the governor of Kaduna State.
Gaiya also criticized the former governor of the state, Nasir El-Rufai, accusing him of mistreating the people of Southern Kaduna. He alleged that El-Rufai deliberately deprived the residents of the zone of their means, sending a message that Christians do not have the necessary support to win elections in the state.
According to Gaiya, the people of Southern Kaduna suffered from poverty during El-Rufai’s tenure, and they are relieved that he is no longer in office. He expressed gratitude to God for the survival and well-being of many individuals from Southern Kaduna. Gaiya stated that the era of deliberate marginalization is over, and he assured that within the next ten years, a Christian candidate will rise to the position of governor in Kaduna State.
