The senior lawyer in Nigeria, Mr. Femi Falana, questioned how Ahmad Lawan was able to return to the Senate given that he participated in the presidential primaries.
Falana made the claim in an interview with Channels Television for the Politics Today program when Seun Okinbaloye stated that he would like to express his opinion on Bulkachuwa’s remarks that he infringed upon his wife while she was the president of the appeal court, as well as Charles Okorocha’s claim that Ahmad Lawan’s return to the Senate is still a mystery and that he will have to show him how he accomplished it.
That position in the Senate, according to Mr. Falana, is regrettable because
“My distinguished senators would try to make the judges look foolish at such a gathering. I have argued that these assertions shouldn’t be ignored in the legal community, at least in my opinion, before my colleagues.
He did, however, add that
The Senate President promptly stepped in to prevent more embarrassment after recognizing the danger the Senator posed by proceeding in that direction. Additionally, there was a statement that was attributed to Senator Okorocha and indicted the Senate president. You participated in the presidential primary; tell us how you become a senator through the senate primary. These are significant accusations that shouldn’t be dismissed out of hand.
