The First Lady of Ondo State, Chief Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu, replied to the recent removal of road divider blocks, which some glad-handers in the state capital of Akure called the “Wall of Jericho.”

Mrs. Anyanwu-Akeredolu took to Facebook to respond to certain Akure residents’ comments to the removal of the road divider blocks that her husband, Governor Akeredolu, had put in place to stop reckless driving and accidents along Oja-oba, Adesida road.

In response to remarks made by Akure residents, Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu stated that the wall of Jericho was erected for safety reasons, not to amuse people, but to stop irresponsible driving and accidents.……Continue Reading……… 

According to the former Ondo State First Lady, Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu, “Wall of Jericho was it for fun? No! For public safety, to prevent reckless driving and accidents. Get sense pipu! #cheap popularity.”

Remember that on the day of the Christmas celebration, Lucky Ayedatiwa, the acting governor of Ondo state, ordered the removal of some road divider blocks to make it easier for people to cross to the other side of the road.

While the barricades were being taken down, some locals were celebrating, singing the acting governor’s praises, and referring to the road divider blocks as the “Walls of Jericho.”
