Eye Witness reveals what caused train collision with BRT bus in Lagos
A railway reportedly crushed a Lagos BRT bus carrying passengers on Thursday, leaving two people dead and numerous others injured.
The tragic tragedy took place in Ikeja’s Shogunle neighborhood. The train was coming from Agege when it encountered a BRT car that had employees of the Lagos state government on it as it crossed the rail to connect Ikeja GRA.

It was discovered that the BRT bus was attempting to cross the line when the nearby train was moving. The train’s magnet dragged it to Shogunle, where it stopped, from the PWD bus stop.
According reports, it was learnt that when the bus was stopped at the level crossing, the driver of the vehicle refused to stop.
When speaking about the accident, an eyewitness who went by the name Babs claimed that the NRC level crossing keepers had attempted to stop the motorist from passing due to an approaching train but that he had refused.
Babs claims that the BRT bus driver believed he could pass before the approaching train.
