Jandor addressed his supporters during the rally, which also marked his official return to the All Progressives Congress (APC) after resigning from the PDP on March 3. He cited Tinubu’s impactful reforms and recent defections to the APC as key reasons behind his decision.
According to Jandor, Tinubu’s administration has shown remarkable results that convinced him to rejoin the ruling party. He praised the president’s commitment to the nation’s progress, highlighting the removal of fuel subsidies as a bold and selfless move.
Jandor noted that Tinubu could have opted to maintain the subsidy to secure re-election, but instead prioritized the country’s long-term benefit.
“That is why we are going to do everything humanly possible to make sure we work for his re-election. Our priority is to ensure that this man returns in 2027 to further reposition the country,” Jandor declared.
Jandor’s return to the APC and his firm endorsement of Tinubu’s second term bid signify a significant political realignment within Lagos State.
