The spokesperson of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Festus Okoye has said that the commission will present everything they know and all they did during the election before the presidential election tribunal court
He said this while responding to questions on the final report submitted by the European Union observers
Okoye said that the commission has many positives to pick from the report and at the same time, there were negatives too. He said the matter is currently at the court and they will provide everything they did during the election and leave the court to determine
He said “As I say, we have cases in court , petition is already in court. Let the court make a determination whether the commission did well or it did not. As far as we are concerned, we will make our submissions to the court. We are going to present what we know and what we did during the election to the presidential election tribunal and they will make a determination going forward. As far as the commission is concerned, there were so many positives to this election”
