Erik ten Hag’s top transfer target, Harry Kane, is on a verge of joining Bundesliga champions, Bayern Munich, this summer after reaching an agreement with the German club.

Tottenham Hotspur chairman, Daniel Levy, is holding out on his £100m valuation on Harry Kane and has unwillingness to sell to Manchester United is no secret.

Bayern Munich had a £70m offer instantly turned down by Tottenham Hotspur but it is certain that the Bundesliga champions champions will report back with an improved offer for the 29-year-old.

Harry Kane could finally depart Tottenham Hotspur this summer after an eight year stay at the club, where he broke all kinds of goalscoring records for both club and country.

Kane’s transfer to Bayern Munich is yet to be finalised with the German club yet to submit a second bid but Manchester United appear to be doomed if they do not sign the England striker this summer.

Surprisingly but soon to be complete, Manchester United has reached a £60m agreement with Chelsea to sign Mason Mount and the 24-year-old underwent his medicals at the Carrington on Monday.

Now, with all that in mind let’s quickly take a look at why Manchester United will regret not signing Harry Kane from Tottenham Hotspur this summer.

Manchester United Harry Kane’s transfer alternatives are, Napoli’s Victor Osimhen, Atalanta’s Rasmus Hojlund and Benfica’s Goncalo Ramos.

However, the three strikers mentioned above has zero Premier League experience and will definitely cost Manchester United a fortune to sign any of the three.

Atalanta has already rejected Manchester United’s opening bid for Rasmus Hojlund, and Napoli are demanding £150m from the Red Devils. A fee that the United board is reluctant to pay for any player this summer.

Goncalo Ramos to Old Trafford has been off the rader for months now and transfer reports don’t see Manchester United reviving their interest for the Portuguese striker.

Manchester City are the team to beat in the Premier League title race and to achieve that height, Manchester United must sign a world class striker as lethal as Norway international, Erling Haaland.

On the contrary, Harry Kane is the only striker that fits that bill, he won’t need time to adapt into Erik ten Hag’s philosophy and will slot right into the Dutchman’s team with ease.

If Manchester United miss out on Harry Kane this summer, then they could kiss their potential 2023-24 title charge goodbye.
