Former Shakhtar Donetsk star and Chelsea winter transfer window signing, Mykhailo Mudryk was astonishing yesterday for Ukraine U-21 in the quarter finals ties of the ongoing Euro competition against France U-21 at the Cluj Arena.
The 22 year old football maestro retained his spot in his team’s starting XI line-up following his outstanding performance for the team in their previous game against Spain U-21, which got them advanced to the knockout stages of the competition.
Mykhailo Mudryk in the game was outstanding for his team at the heart of the attacking line where he created a couple of chances, and as such bagged a brace of assists which was pivotal in the remarkable comeback victory that got them advanced to the next round of the competition.
Rayan Cherki in the 19th minute of the game got the deadlock broken as he gave France the lead by making it one nil before Ukraine stepped up their game by netting two straight goals, courtesy of a stunning brace from Georgiy Sudakov in the 32nd and 44th minute to make it two goals to one heading into the half time break.
The tempo of the game got tensed up between the two sides in the second 45 minutes as they both displayed some more dazzling skills but none was able to found the back of the net, until the 86th minute when Artem Bondarenko got the lead extended for Ukraine as it ended three goals to one at full time.
After the game, English Premier League giant Chelsea reacted to the great influx of delivery displayed by their star player, Mykhailo Mudryk who got directly involved in two of the three goals scored by his team.
Chelsea in that regard made a post their verified Twitter handle with the caption indicating that the Ukrainian international provided two assists and also helped his team booked a place in the penultimate stage of the U-21 Euro Championship, with this being complemented with a clap emoji for the good job well done by the prolific winger.
