In the next ten years, a Christian will be elected governor of Kaduna State, according to Hon. Godfrey Gaiya, the House of Representatives Speaker’s recently appointed special adviser on political matters. He allegedly accused the previous governor of the state, Nasir El-Rufai, of mistreating the residents of Southern Kaduna, according to a story by The Sun. Gaiya asserted that El-Rufai intended to purposely deprive the residents of the zone of their means in order to make the message that Christians lack the support necessary to win elections in the state.

The people of Southern Kaduna, according to Hon. Gaiya, were left in poverty over the course of the previous governor’s administration, and they are clearly relieved that he is no longer in office. He added that over the next ten years, Kaduna State will be ruled by a Christian.

“We praise God that the people of Southern Kaduna are still alive and well today. To be very honest with you, El-Rufai wants to make the case that there aren’t enough Christians to secure power and win elections. He did this with the intention of making the residents of the zone poor. As I already stated, that time is passed, and I can guarantee you that we will move on. Kaduna State will be ruled by a Christian within the next ten years.
