In a warm meeting between an elder statesman and former governor of old Oyo State, Dr. Victor Omololu Olunloyo, and the current Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke, Dr. Olunloyo expressed his admiration for Governor Adeleke’s achievements, referring to him as a man of destiny who had been underrated by his political opponents. The meeting took place at Dr. Olunloyo’s residence in Ibadan on Sunday morning.
According to PM NEWS, Dr. Olunloyo, an esteemed mathematician, repeatedly exclaimed his astonishment, questioning how Governor Adeleke had managed to achieve his remarkable feat. Expressing his delight, Dr. Olunloyo said, “You are a man the whole world underrated. They were in shock. Only a very few people believed you could pull it off. Tell me the secrets. You cleared all the legislative seats, all House of Representatives, all senate seats and the assembly honorable. You took the world by surprise.” He further praised Governor Adeleke for leading Osun State effectively and transforming its narrative, acknowledging the happiness of the people under his leadership.
Surrounded by his family members and friends, including Are Dele Momodu, Dr. Olunloyo commended Governor Adeleke for his outstanding performance since assuming office. He expressed his elation, stating that Osun State is challenging to govern, yet the governor has successfully changed the narrative. Dr. Olunloyo observed the happiness among the people of Osun and encouraged Governor Adeleke to continue his commendable work.
In response, Governor Adeleke expressed his gratitude for the warm reception and stated that he had visited Oyo State for a formal function but took the opportunity to pay homage to Dr. Olunloyo, whom he referred to as their political father. He sought the elder statesman’s prayers and assured him that he would not disappoint his father and other admirers, both near and far.
