Ezeocha Nzeh, the Assistant Director of the New National Star paper, has urged the immediate past governor of Kano State, Abdullahi Ganduje, to honour the invitation extended to him by the state Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission (PCACC) over a purported dollar video. While speaking in an interview with AIT, he said that the former governor has to defend himself, adding that the All Progressive Congress (APC) shouldn’t interfere in the process.
Recall that the state chapter of the party told Ganduje to disregard the anti-graft Invitation, describing it as a sinister ploy to dent his image. Reacting to this, Nzeh said that the party shouldn’t be involved in this situation, making it clear that Ganduje is not bigger than the law or those who have been previously invited.
He said, “If the former governor is indicted in what is being alleged, why can’t he face the law? A political party is only lucky that it has come to the government. If the APC in Kano are thinking that they will use the power at the center to influence this, it is a very wrong thing and it is not good for the party. Ganduje must honour that invitation because he has to defend himself.”
