Court Sacks RCCG Pastor Who Became King In Oyo State

The Oyo State High Court, located in Ogbomoso, Oyo State, has annulled the appointment of Oba Ghandi Olaoye, the recently crowned Soun of Ogbomoso.

According to vanguard, On September 8, 2023, the Oyo State Government crowned Pastor Ghandi as the next Soun of Ogbomoso. Prior to this, Kabir Laoye, one of the competitors, had sued Ghandi, claiming he wasn’t qualified to fill Soun’s position.

At the time, the Oyo State High Court in Ogbomoso reportedly ordered that no one could present Ghandi with an official instrument during a ceremony or issue a certificate of installation until the mandatory injunction that had already been filed before the court was decided.
