American R&B artist Chris Brown was arrested in Manchester, England, on May 15, 2025, in connection with an alleged assault that took place in London in February 2023. Brown, 36, was taken into custody at the five-star Lowry Hotel around 2 a.m., shortly after arriving in the UK for his upcoming Breezy Bowl XX Tour. He is being held on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.
Diaw has filed a $16 million civil lawsuit against Brown, alleging severe injuries that left him needing crutches. The Metropolitan Police confirmed that the arrest relates to an incident at a venue in Hanover Square on February 19, 2023.
Brown’s representatives have not yet provided a comment. The police investigation into the matter is ongoing.
