Knowing that he might be very desperate after the Saudi deal went off, Osimhen disclosed that Chelsea finally reached out to him through co-owner Hansjorg Wyss and offered him a gross salary of £130, 000 per week.

He added that the club wanted to coerce him through Napoli by claiming he demanded £500, 000 a week after he rejected the initial £130, 000 per week offer.

In the aftermath, the reigning African Footballer of the Year secured a season-long loan move to Galatasaray in the Turkish Super Lig.

The Turkish champions reached an agreement with Napoli to cover the entirety of Osimhen’s wages throughout his loan spell.
