Primate Elijah Ayodele, the leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has made a prediction regarding the future political relevance of former Rivers State governor Nyesom Wike and other members of the G5, also known as the Integrity Group of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). According to Ayodele’s annual prophecy book ‘Warnings To The Nations’, launched on July 1st at his Lagos church, he believes that these politicians will struggle to maintain their influence under President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

It is widely believed that Wike and the other former governors are hoping to leverage their close relationship with President Tinubu to advance their own political ambitions. However, Ayodele’s prophecy suggests that the G5, with the exception of Oyo state governor Seyi Makinde, will find it difficult to remain politically relevant.

The spiritual leader warns that the G5 governors will face numerous challenges and internal conflicts that will hinder their political aspirations. They will experience disappointment and betrayal among themselves, and even if they switch to other political parties, they will still struggle to regain their influence. Ayodele also cautions the All Progressives Congress (APC) to be wary of any attempts by these politicians to join their ranks.

The G5, a group of influential politicians, were believed to have reduced Atiku Abubakar’s chances in the previous presidential election by insisting on a southern president after President Muhammadu Buhari’s two terms.

Despite their efforts, Atiku was chosen as the PDP’s candidate but faced opposition from the G5 in their request for a southern replacement as PDP national chairman.

In the election, Atiku lost in all G5 states, while Tinubu from the APC emerged as the leading candidate, winning in 12 states and receiving the highest number of votes.

On June 8, the G5 paid a visit to President Tinubu at Aso Villa in Abuja.

Primate Elijah Ayodele predicts that former governor Nyesom Wike and other members of the G5 will find it hard to maintain their political relevance under President Bola Tinubu’s administration. Despite their hopes of leveraging their relationship with Tinubu, Ayodele foresees internal conflicts and challenges that will hinder their aspirations. He advises the APC to be cautious of any attempts by these politicians to join their party.
