In a live broadcast on Facebook today, Alhaji Asari Dokubo has finally replied HURIWA after they asked the Federal Government to arrest him.

Recall that The Human Rights Writers Association of Nigeria had issued a 72-hour ultimatum to the Federal Government, for the immediate arrest of Mujahid Asari Dokubo. The group had also threatened to embark on a nationwide protest if Asari Dokubo was not arrested. The group had accused the ex-militant of having a hand in the violet phenomenon of ‘unknown gunmen’ in the South-East.

Responding to this, the ex-Niger Delta militant clarified that he has nothing against the Igbos. Speaking further, he cautioned HURIWA against embarking on a nationwide protest, saying no one can arrest him.

Asari Dokubo: “I am not an enemy of the State. So no one can arrest me. In fact, who will even arrest me? If they arrest me, then what? Is it the DSS in this country? As you are looking at me now, can they arrest me, put in prison and I will not go to Court? Let HURIWA go and protest, they will be shocked what will happen to them on that day. I dare them.”
