Alhaji Asari Mujahid Dokubo stated that he has always openly acknowledged his Igbo heritage. He mentioned that there are interviews from over a decade ago on channels television and NTA where he explicitly states that he has Igbo ancestry running through his veins. He further revealed that his father passed down his Igbo name, Uzodinma, to him. In addition, he shared that he went to Ohafia to marry an Igbo woman and even named his son Uzodinma as well.
In addition, Alhaji Asari Mujahid Dokubo added, “As Igbos, we need to question ourselves why people are drawn to Yoruba territories rather than Igbo lands. We need to work on ourselves and stop living in self denial.” “In the past, I had a forty percent Igbo blood flowing in my vein but now, it has increased to 75 percent.”
