Akpabio Opens Up on Report of Allocating ‘Office of Wife of Senate President’ to Wife
The President of the Nigerian Senate, Godswill Akpabio, has denied reports that he created an office for his wife, Mrs. Ekaette Unoma Akpabio, in the National Assembly.
In a statement through his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Hon Eseme Eyiboh, Akpabio described the report as “illogic” and “originating from a well known diseased minded author.”
Eyiboh said the story was essentially built to malign and disparage the Senate President. “For emphasis to the unguarded who may be prone to the fake news merchandise from Saharareporters, Her Excellency, Mrs Ekaette Unoma Akpabio has no office in the National Assembly and there is no intention towards that,” Eyiboh said.
