Abdullahi Adamu Makes Fresh Revelation

After resigning from his position, Abdullahi Adamu, the former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), shared what President Bola Tinubu communicated to him

Adamu, who took over as APC Chairman in March 2022, stepped down amidst internal turmoil within the ruling party. During his tenure, he distanced himself from the selection of the principal officers of the Senate and the House of Representatives, dismissing the news of their appointment as mere rumors.

On July 4, 2023, Senate President Godswill Akpabio and House of Representatives Speaker Tajudeen Abbas announced the names of their respective chambers’ principal officers.

Adamu tendered his resignation while President Tinubu was away attending an African Union summit. This decision led to the emergence of former Governor of Kano State, Abdullahi Ganduje, as his successor.

During an interview on Trust TV program, Adamu expressed contentment with Tinubu’s victory during his tenure as party chairman, regardless of what others may say.

He said:No matter what anybody will say about my relationship with Tinubu, the fact remains that it was under my leadership that the APC won the election. I like Tinubu for one thing.
