Former Delta State Governor Ifeanyi Okowa has provided insights into his recent defection from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC), describing it as a strategic decision aimed at aligning Delta State more closely with the federal government.
Speaking at a rally in Asaba, Okowa emphasized that the move was not driven by personal interests but by the desire to ensure that Delta State benefits from the resources and goodwill available at the federal level. He stated, “The decision to change our political path was made for the common good of our people, not for personal interests.”
