Former senator and human rights activist, Shehu Sani, has reacted to the clarification that Vice President Kashim Shettima was not banned from entering the Presidential Villa, as earlier rumored across social media platforms.
There had been widespread speculation online that Shettima was allegedly restricted from accessing the Villa due to internal political disagreements. However, official sources quickly debunked the reports, labeling them as false and misleading.
Reacting via his verified X (formerly Twitter) handle, Shehu Sani wrote:
“Those who were spreading the Villa-ban story are now hiding in their digital bunkers. VP Shettima is very much within the Villa walls.”
The former lawmaker used the opportunity to caution against the spread of fake news, especially on matters of national leadership and governance. He emphasized the need for responsible journalism and fact-checking in an era where social media plays a major role in shaping public opinion.
