The association, in a statement on Tuesday by the Deputy Senate President, Comrade Alade Abayomi, said the deplorable condition most Nigerians are living now has become a source of concern for the body.
The situation, the association noted, demands urgent and quick steps to redress it before things would get out of hand.
“As the leaders of Nigerian university students, it is important we write to you today to urgently address the pressing issue of the hardship faced by Nigerians due to the high cost of living and other socio-economic challenges,” the letter read.
The current economic situation, marked by inflation, unemployment, and a general decline in living standards, has created immense difficulties for families and individuals trying to make ends meet.
