Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan Responds to Yahaya Bello’s Petition: “I Have Evidence, Let the Police Do Their Job”

The political landscape in Kogi State has been stirred by a recent exchange between Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan and former Governor Yahaya Bello. The contention arises from allegations made by Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan during a political rally, suggesting that Bello, in collaboration with Senate President Godswill Akpabio, plotted to recall and assassinate her.​

In response, Yahaya Bello has petitioned the Inspector General of Police, demanding an investigation and prosecution of Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan for what he describes as “criminally defamatory” statements. Bello’s legal team insists that the senator’s claims are false, reckless, and inciting, potentially endangering public peace. ​

Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan has countered these actions by affirming her stance and urging patience, stating, “They should calm down and allow the police to do their job. There is already a petition to that effect with the IGP.” ​
