Cornel Osigwe, Head of Corporate Communications at Innoson, stated that the company received no prior notice regarding the demolition. He emphasized that while other marked buildings in the vicinity were spared, demolition teams focused solely on Innoson’s structure. Osigwe questioned the motives behind this action, suggesting potential bias or ulterior motives by certain elements within the government.

Anambra State Commissioner for Works, Ifeanyi Okoma, clarified that the demolition was part of a broader initiative to remove structures obstructing road development. He asserted that the exercise was not personalized and that multiple buildings, including religious institutions and schools, were marked for removal. Okoma highlighted Governor Charles Soludo’s support for local enterprises, noting his exclusive use of Innoson vehicles for official duties.​
