Lagos Assembly set-up committee to investigate doctor Diaso’s death
The Lagos State House of Assembly has established an eight-person committee to look into the elevator accident that claimed the life of a doctor named Vwaere Diaso.
The Chief Medical Director of the hospital, as well as other staff members who had a hand in the incident, were also called before the House.

Recall that Dr. Vware Diaso, who worked at the hospital, was killed by a malfunctioning elevator in the staff quarters of the General Hospital, Odan, Lagos.
The incident reportedly occurred on Wednesday night when the deceased, who lived on the ninth floor of the building, wanted to meet a dispatch rider who had brought her the food she had previously ordered online.
It was unfortunate to lose such a young, promising daughter, according to Obasa, who added that neither her parents nor her coworkers could be given a satisfactory explanation.

David Setonji, Lara Oyekan, Olayinka Ajomale, Shabi Adekola, Omolara Olumegbon, Akanbi Oluwa, and Olarenwaju Afinni are the members of the eight-person committee that will be presided over by Deputy Speaker Mrs.Mojisola Meranda.
“They must give the House a report on their findings in two weeks.
“The pain that losing the doctor would cause her immediate family is indescribable.
“It is heartbreaking to lose such a young, promising daughter, he said.
The government would investigate their demands, the speaker pleaded with the NMA to get back to work.
