Arise , a renowned Nigerian news agency, recently reported an intriguing statement made by Afenifere leader, Pa Ayo Adebanjo. Taking to their verified Twitter account, Arise quoted Pa Adebanjo saying, “I Would Not Recognize Tinubu for an Office that Does Not Exist.” The influential leader alleged that Afenifere would acknowledge Bola Tinubu as a holder of a non-existent office until the judgment from the Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal on the legitimate winner of the 2023 presidential election is delivered. Pa Adebanjo remained firm in his stance, stating that his organization would refrain from commenting on Tinubu’s performance until the court rules in his favour. This statement comes after previous criticisms voiced by Pa Adebanjo regarding President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s victory, emphasizing his reliance on the court’s verdict to accept Tinubu as the President of Nigeria.
According to Arise , they said, “I Would Not Recognize Tinubu for an Office that Does Not Exist – Pa Adebanjo. Afenifere Leader, Pa Ayo Adebanjo, maintains that until the judgment from the Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal on the legitimate winner of the 2023 presidential election is delivered, Afenifere will not recognize ‘Bola Tinubu for an office that does not exist’ and will not comment on his performance so far.”
